1. Project
A local rock quarry manager in the region was in a litigation battle with a basalt distributor whom had taken a load from him in the months before.
2. Result
The client had already brought out a surveyor to measure the volumes of the particular piles in question. UA flew the entire quarry in less than 2 hours, gathering millions of GPS data points over the area.
3. Deliverable
The UA team was able to not only deliver more accurate volumetrics of their piles, but also completed a set of valuable data, although not survey grade.We were able to deliver a comprehensive 3D model, a 2D map, a contour map, and a digital surface model, calculating elevations of the entire quarry.
